A statistical report of King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah revealed that the number of passengers through it exceeded 34 million by the end of 2017, registering the highest growth in its history by 9.4% for 31 million passengers for 2016.
        

According to the report, by the end of 2017, the number of passengers traveling through the terminal reached 3.66% compared to 2016, with a total of 22,674 flights, compared with 219,202 trips in 2016.

9.4 million passengers in 2017, an increase of 13.9% over 2016, while passenger traffic through the South Terminal reached 19.8 million passengers for 2017, an increase of 8.5% over 2016.

The number of passengers traveling through the Hajj and Umrah Hall reached 4.8 million passengers in 2017, an increase of 5.7% over 2016. The number of travelers through the private flight hall reached 123.3 thousand passengers in 2017.

The report indicated that international passenger traffic rose by 16.8% In 2017 compared to 2016, while the number of passengers on domestic flights increased by 6.7% in 2017 compared to 2016.

The report is likely to continue growth in passenger traffic this year in light of developments in the airport lounges.
